Master’s Certificates and The Hague Apostille Convention

Master’s students can get the following certificates:

1. Master’s degree. Upon successful completion of all course’s activities.
2. Master’s certificate with final grade and description of course contents.

And after completing each module:

3. Course certificate “Project Management I: Logical Framework Approach”
4. Course certificate “Project Management II: Project Management and Implementation”
5. Course certificate “Project Management III: Missions and Offices in the field”
6. Course certificate “Sectors of Humanitarian Intervention, the Sphere Project and the UNHCR Emergency Manual (I)”
7. Course certificate “Sectors of Humanitarian Intervention, the Sphere Project and the UNHCR Emergency Manual (II)”
8. Course certificate “The international legal framework”
9. Course certificate “Gender and cross cutting approaches”
10. Course certificate “Ethics in humanitarian work and in development cooperation”
11. Course certificate “Let’s talk about development and cooperation”
12. Course certificate “Disasters and risk management”

These are Continuing Education certificates from a private education centre and are to be downloaded directly by the student after completing successfully the required activities. The Master’s certificate will be digitally signed and recorded in a public database for online verification purposes.

The Hague Apostille

The Hague Apostille Convention for notarial acts is an international treaty drafted by the Hague Conference on Private International Law. It specifies the modalities through which a document issued in one of the signatory countries can be certified for legal purposes in all the other signatory states.

Postage

A fee will be charged if the interested party requests a signature notarized and apostilled hard copy of the course certificate. The fee depends on the destination country and the shipping service chosen:

Registered mail. National postal service of Spain

  • 125 Euros
  • Worldwide
  • Except Somalia and Zimbabwe

UPS

  • 185 Euros
  • Worldwide, including The Democratic Republic of the Congo (only to Kinshasa)
  • Except Somalia, Sudan and Yemen

DHL

  • 225 Euros
  • Worldwide, including Sudan (only to Khartoum) and The Democratic Republic of the Congo (only to Kinshasa)

Fees include service bureau, postage and the apostille itself.

The convention is in force for all members of the European Union and all but 10 members of the Hague Conference on Private International Law. Review here State parties.
