From July 07-12th, 2017, Syunik-Development NGO is organizing a Training of Trainers (ToT) on conflict mediation and conflict transformation for young leaders and beginner facilitators from different regions of Armenia and Georgia as well as for ethnic minorities living in both countries (10 participants will be selected from each country). Syunik-Development NGO will select the Armenian participants and the Georgian partner organization Youth for Diplomatic Engagement will select the Georgian participants.
The workshop will be held in the LucyTour Hotel Resort, located in the Vayots Dzor Region of Armenia.
The project aims to prepare youth leaders to serve as trainers by equipping them with the necessary skills and knowledge to lead and facilitate conversations on conflict analysis, management, transformation, mediation and resolution.
Cultural tours of Armenia will also be a component of the project.
Undergraduate students, young community leaders, and volunteers involved in community or NGO works as well as motivated newcomers to the field are eligible to apply. Applicants must be between 21 and 35 years old.
After a review of participant’s submitted documents, short-listed candidates will be contacted for an interview. Interviews will be done either face-to-face or long distance (via Skype). Selected participants will be required to:
• Participate in all sessions of the training (a one week duration),
• Hold at least one seminar in their communities as a workshop alumni
All costs will be covered by the project organizers. The working language of the training is English.

Me and my beloved fellow brothers Mahad Ahmed and Jama Ashur have just competed the Master’s in International Cooperation and Humanitarian Aid at Kalu Institute/Proyecto Kalu -Humanitarian aid studies center and received our certificates. We sincerely thank to President Alberto Martos Sauquillo, our charismatic Tutors and all Kalu Institute team. We hereby also taking this opportunity to send a special thank to Ms Karin Machitte for her tiredness support and efforts to guide to achieve our final goal. We are also happy to extend appreciation and special thanks to Somali Fair Fishing for the keen support in finance and moral through the course. It is our honor to study at Kalu Institute and earn our Masters degree; not just by name but as a live changing course. This course sharped and broaden our comprehension as well as practical and theoretical skills or knowledge in the fields of international cooperation and humanitarian aid. The forums, admin team, fellow classmates, quest tutors and the president of the institute Alberto Martos Sauquillo were spectacularly helpful and fascinating. We triumphantly salute them keep the good work. The above mentioned persons and institutes owe us a lot - BIG THANK YOU ALL.
